Privacy Policy

This explains, in plain language, what Alakilo collects and how we use it. Alakilo is operated by Malama Risk Management.

1. What we collect

  • Account information — the email address used to sign in, and your role within your organization.
  • Organization data — the organization you belong to and its settings.
  • Board and route configuration — the signs and routes you set up and how they are configured.
  • Traffic telemetry and message logs — the traffic conditions used to make dispatch decisions and a record of the messages sent to each board.
  • Radar telemetry — readings reported by connected radar sensors that feed the queue-warning features.

2. How we use it

We use this data to operate the Service for you: matching traffic conditions to the right message, dispatching it to the right board, and showing you what happened. We use it to keep the Service secure and to troubleshoot problems.

3. We do not sell your data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small set of third-party providers to run the Service, described generically here:

  • Cloud hosting — stores and runs the application and its database.
  • Authentication — manages secure sign-in and passwords.
  • GPS and traffic data providers — supply routing and traffic information used for dispatch decisions.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their part of the Service.

5. How long we keep it

We retain data for as long as it is needed to operate the Service for your organization. When data is no longer needed, or on a valid deletion request, we remove it within a reasonable period. Some records may be kept longer where required for security or legal reasons.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your account and your organization's data by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
